About Grant

Grant in Nicaragua Grant Heyman is one of New York’s most versatile High School Athletes. A three sport Varsity Starter since his sophomore year, his contributions have helped his teams reach 7 Sectional Championship Games and 2 State Championship games.

In Football, Grant compiled a 16-3 record as a starting Quarterback. In 2011, he set the School Single Season records for Passing Yardage and TD Passes. Grant Averaged over 6 yards per rushing attempt and 9 yards per passing attempt, and received 1st Team All County recognition for the 2nd year.

In the New York State’s Large School (AA) division, Grant ranked 1st in the State for Passer Rating (112), 2nd in completion percentage (61), 2nd in TD passes (15). As a Kicker, he tied for 1st in the State in total kicking points (58), was 1st in PAT percentage (95.2), and 3rd in Field Goals (6). On Defense, he ranked 3rd in the State with 4 interceptions. Grant was one of the Team Captains for his senior season.

Grant in NicaraguaGrant has also received All County honors in Baseball, and he already owns or shares 2 State and School records. For his sophomore and junior seasons, Grant has hit a combined .375, with 29 extra base hits, 29 steals (in 31 attempts), and only 1 error. During the 2010 State Championship Game, Grant was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a game deciding Home Run.

In Basketball, Grant has been named Best Defensive Player, and will be Captain for his Senior Year.

Grant is a solid student, and continues to make community service a priority, working with youth athletics, and has completed a summer mission to help build schools in Nicaragua.
