Grant's Baseball Career

During Grant’s sophomore year (2010), his season culminated with Sutherland High School winning its first-ever State Championship.

In the State Championship final game, Grant was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a game-clinching homerun.

He supported his Team’s 24-2 season by leading the team in Extra Base Hits, Doubles, Stolen Base Percentage, Fielding Percentage, and he was 2nd in Hits, Homeruns, Triples, and Slugging Percentage. He tied state records for Doubles in one game (4) and Extra Base Hits in one game (5). Individual honors included Birdseye Player of the Week and All County.

For his Sophomore and Junior seasons, Grant has hit a combined .375 with 29 extra base hits, 29 steals (in 31 attempts) and has committed only one error in the field.
